Cocoon helps you compare estimates from reliable insulation installers based on speed, customer satisfaction and price. It will then refer you, if you wish, to your preferred choice of installer for a FREE no obligation survey.

Cocoon monitors all its installer partners closely to ensure a high quality, professional service. All these installers are members of the National Insulation Association and their cavity wall work carries the 25 year CIGA guarantee. This greatly simplifies the task of comparing cost estimates from installers you can trust.

how it works

You can access our service either by freephone or on-line. Simply give us a few details about you and your home and Cocoon then identifies which insulation installers on our system can do the work for you. To help you decide which installer to go with, we can tell you about each installer's average customer satisfaction rating, the average time to install and the price they estimate for doing the work.

We follow up all our installations and ask our customers to rate the service they have received from their installer. The most recent of those ratings are then averaged and presented to you to help you choose between the installers based on their current performance. These reviews from customers help us to ensure the on-going reliability of all our installers.

time to install
We track all our referrals through to installation (or cancellation) so are able to monitor how long each installer takes to do each job from start to finish. We average this out to give you a good idea of how long you can expect to wait for an installation based on each installer's current performance.

price
The unique way in which Cocoon allows direct comparison between installers keeps prices competitive. We can tell you which installer from those on our system offers the best estimate for insulating your property.

Cocoon is the only service, to our knowledge, which can offer users immediate access to up to five estimates from a number of competing insulation installers. This is not a single installer bulk discount insulation scheme.

Local councils sometimes endorse a single installer insulation deal in their area. In some cases this will offer excellent value to homeowners ... but not always. Cocoon provides you with another way to check you are getting the best deal.

Cocoon is self-financing. Installers pay the service the same small fixed fee every time a referral from Cocoon results in them fitting cavity wall insulation or loft insulation. This level playing field ensures impartiality. 

Cocoon has grown fast thanks to the willingness of local councils to promote the service. Where we have a partnership with your local council, we can offer you estimates from between two to four installers and tell you about any relevant home improvement grants or loans your council offers.
